The OSU Religious Studies Program welcomes Dr. Glen Fairen as a Visiting Assistant Professor, starting Fall 2021.

In the Fall and Spring, he will be teaching sections of REL 1103 World Religions.  In the Spring, he will also be teaching REL 4050, Studies in Religion: Magic, Witchcraft, and the Occult.

Dr. Fairen received his Ph.D. in Religious Studies from the University of Alberta in 2015.  His publications explore Christian Gnosticism, the heretic Marcion, and ancient apocalyptic literature.

His current research interests include Sethianism, modern witchcraft, and religion in Science Fiction and Fantasy film and literature. He will be a featured expert in an upcoming documentary TV series about Nazism and the occult, produced by Go Button Media in Toronto.
